When I became self employed, I vowed that I would NOT be one of those people who stuff receipts into a bag/drawer/floor of car all year and then spend a week of being up all night trying to fill in their tax returns in the last week of January.
I have, up until this year been very good - doing the previous months accounts in the first day or two of the next month. That slipped a bit in Feb and March (oops) and so today I made myself them! It took me miles longer than usual as I had begun to 'receipt stuff' and they were all out of order! Ugh!
All done now though and year end report done too, so new tax year, new start - and no panic!
